Back to School Two Truths and a Lie Game, First Day Community Building Slides

The first day (and week) of back to school season can be a whirlwind, so let this Two Truths and a Lie activity take one thing off your plate! This ready-to-use icebreaker helps students build relationships, learn about their classmates, and create a positive classroom community from day one. Students simply type their name, three facts about themselves, place the lie on the bottom line, and then click and drag a box to cover the lie before sharing with the class. Classmates will have fun guessing which statement is the lie while getting to know one another in a low-pressure, engaging way.

This resource includes 32 unique editable slides, a How to Play page, Teacher Tips, 5 Ways to Play, and 20 topic ideas to help students think of facts to share. It's a fun, no-prep activity that's perfect for the first day of school, the first week of school, morning meetings, community building, or anytime your class could use a fun icebreaker.

This resource is flexible for any classroom! Assign each student their own copy through Google Classroom, or have the entire class collaborate in one shared Google Slides presentation by giving each student their own slide to complete.
